Missouri LifeSmarts is sponsored by the American Century Investments Foundation of Kansas City. Because of this sponsorship, Missouri is able to hold in-personal state championship competitions for both Varsity and Junior Varsity top scoring online teams. Sponsorships also provide partial coverage of the travel expenses for the national in-person competition. Missouri Association of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is the state LifeSmarts coordinator.
