Program Evaluation

Assessment of individual programs is an integral part of a school district's plan to evaluate the overall effectiveness and/or efficiency of the district's programs and services.  The assessment process provides information vital to determining the extent to which the district's goals and objectives are being met.

Report for Local Program Quality Improvement

The Report for Local Program Quality Improvement serves as a tool for school districts to use for program evaluation and improvement. Aligned with the Common Standards for Career Education Programs, the report should be used to evaluate local career education programs to determine where exemplary programs and activities exist and where improvements should be made. The use of this tool should positively impact student performance as measured by MSIP and Perkins accountability standards.


The written Evaluation Plan provides a "roadmap" to program improvement.  The plan may also be used to meet MSIP Standard 7.3 which requires an accountability system to assess student progress and program effectiveness for career education programs.

Business Education Programs

The Missouri Business Education Program Standards document is provided as an instrument to use in evaluating a business education program.  The results of this evaluation should be incorporated into a written Evaluation Plan.
