Missouri DECA Fall Leadership and State Officer Election Conference
October 16 -17, DECA members elected executive state officers and the state action team.
MoACTE Summer Conference (MBEA and MCEA)
Math-in-CTE
Business teachers from around the state, along with a district or neighboring district’s math teacher, took five days of the summer to meet in Jefferson City to learn about Math-in-CTE. Math-in-CTE is a curriculum integration model designed to enhance mathematics that is embedded in career and technical education content.
DECA Membership Development Initiative
Two Missouri DECA members participated in a national membership development training held at National DECA’s headquarters in Reston, Va., on June 6-8, 2011. They are: Julia Pitlyk, Foundation for Missouri DECA Board of Trustees, (front row, far left) and Stephanie Williams, chapter advisor at Cameron High School (second row, center). Representatives from nine states partipated in a series of case studies, discussions and activities designed to develop a state-specific comprehensive membership campaign.
