Closed Captioning
The cost for closed captioning varies with the type of video program being captioned. A 30-second PSA averages about $45, a 15-minute documentary averages about $75, and a one-hour teleconference will average around $250. These prices vary depending on if a script in electronic format is available to us or if the program needs to be transcribed. The Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines require that closed captioning be made available on all programs for public viewing within a reasonable amount of time after a specific request is made.
