Graduation
from a standard high school or equivalent education.
Must meet
the required American Sign Language competency level of Intermediate within 3
years of hire date.
Previous experience is
desirable.

ability to perform the essential functions below either with or without
reasonable accommodation.)
Assists in
preparation of various teaching materials.
Obtains and sets up
educational equipment or machines as required.
Corrects
work of children.
Makes notes and keeps records
at the direction of a teacher.
Assists teacher in classroom
work and may be assigned responsibility for specific sessions of tutoring
children.
Assists with student activities in
and out of the classroom.
Prepares original artwork for use by
classroom teachers.
Organizes materials in the school
media center.
Assists the librarian in the
day-to-day management of the school library.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

VACATION: Generally accrues
SICK LEAVE: Generally accrues
HOLIDAYS: 11
holidays per year.
RETIREMENT:
Vested after five years of creditable service.
LIFE INSURANCE: One times employees’ annual salary of
basic life insurance coverage.
OPTIONAL LIFE INSURANCE: Employee may purchase up to 6
times their annual salary.
HEALTH PLANS: Employer‑paid/subsidized plans
available the month after employment.
DENTAL/VISION PLANS: Several plans are available.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: Up to six counseling
visits per family per year per episode.
TAX DEFERRED PLANS: State contributes $25 to eligible
employees after 12 continuous months of employment.
