Basic Formula Calculation Program Version 3.6 (Updated 6-29-04)
Welcome to the DESE School Finance State Aid Basic Formula personal computer program. This program will allow you to quickly calculate for simulation/budget planning purposes, the district basic formula apportionment for any year by varying any or all of the formula calculation fields.
Remember, this program produces a "simulated" calculation and is totally based on DISTRICT SPECIFIC data that you enter into the input portion of the program. It does not make adjustments for state-wide changes in data, nor prior year corrections, but can give you estimated numbers to be used in the preparation of the district budget. It is provided as a tool for the district to use in the financial decision making process.
School Finance may update this program as changes become necessary to comply with current requirements. Please check the version number above from time to time. If the version number has changed, simply download the latest version over the existing program.
