Back to School with Dropout Prevention in Mind - Creating a Positive School Climate and Culture: Recommendations of Success
This webinar is the first of the 2014-2015 school year and will focus on “school climate,” the first essential area of evidence-based dropout prevention. As the school year resumes, educators are focused on a successful year ahead. This can be achieved in many ways. It is recommended that “schools” first review their data in order to identify and highlight areas of need and areas of accomplishment, all of which aid in the identification of next steps for maintaining success, building capacity, and continuous improvement throughout the school year.
Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) 101
The Office of Special Education has developed a basic overview of Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM). DLM is the new format for the state alternative assessment for students with severe cognitive disabilities. This webinar will review claims, conceptual areas, Essential Elements, nodes, K.I.T.E Educator Portal and K.I.T.E Client Student Portal, as well as many other aspects of DLM.
A follow up webinar will be recorded in late September with information about required trainings and manuals, testing dates and timelines, and other important information.
