Missouri Teacher of the Year Sponsors
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education gratefully acknowledges the following businesses and organizations for their support of the 2011-2012 Teacher of the Year Program:

All costs associated with the Teacher of the Year Program are paid for through a grant funded by The Boeing Corporation. Cash awards for the finalists and Teacher of the Year are provided through this grant (Teacher of the Year receives $1,500 and each of the finalists receive $500).

As a partner in the Teacher of the Year Program, SMART Technologies provides over $14,000 in hardware, software and professional development training to Missouri's Teacher of the Year, and provides a software site license and professional development training to the six finalists ($7,500).

Missouri School Public Relations Association, MOSPRA, supports the Teacher of the Year Program by providing a public relations expert to work with district Teacher's of the Year at the spring clinic.
2011-2012 Teacher of the Year Banquet Donors

RKV Technologies, located in Jefferson City, Mo., provided each of the finalists and the Teacher of the Year with an i-pad. A special thanks to Bob Myers for making this happen.

World Wide Technology, Inc. provided a laptop computer and case to the Teacher of the Year. World Wide Technology, Inc. has been a sponsor for many years.

MTW Solutions provided the Teacher of the Year with a digital camera and case. A special thanks to Randy Arnold for the company's continued support.

Olina Star provided the Teacher of the Year with a $200 gift certificate and each of the finalists received a $100 gift certificate.

Buchroeder's Jewelers provided the Teacher of the Year with a $100 gift certificate and each of the finalists received a $25 gift certificate.

TAN-TAR-A, located in Osage Beach, Mo., provided the Teacher of the Year with gift certificates for a weekend get-a-way, which includes a beautiful suite, golfing, breakfast and dinner for two. Special thanks to Ann Walters and Stephanie Bommel for their continued support of the program.

Gary B. Robinson Jewelers in Columbia, Mo., provided the Teacher of the Year with a $50 gift certificate. Thanks Gary!

Ann's Teachers Store in Columbia, Mo., provided each of the finalists and the Teacher of the Year with stationary, pen and stickers.

Longfellow's Garden Center in Centertown, Mo., provided each of the six teachers with a beautiful purple mum plant.

SCHOLASTIC, Inc., located in Jefferson City, Mo., provided each of the six teachers with a heavy-duty tote with books and other gifts.

Hawthorn Bank in Jefferson City, Mo., provided each of the six teachers with a heavy canvas bag including a coffee mug, visor, plant, flower seeds and much more.

Rose International provided each of the finalists and Teacher of the Year with an insulated coffee mug. They also provided the Teacher of the Year with a pen.

River City Florist in Jefferson City, Mo. provided a $15 gift certificate to home town finalist, Jeni DeFeo.

Classroom Connection Educational, located in Jefferson City, Mo., provided $20 in gift certificates to the Teacher of the Year.

Hy-Vee, in Jefferson City, Mo., provided corsages and boutonnières for each of the finalists and Teacher of the Year for the awards banquet.

Lowe's, in Jefferson City, Mo., provided plants for the picture area at the Teacher of the Year awards banquet.

The Daughters of the American Revolution will honor the Teacher of the Year at their spring conference and also award her with a cash prize.

The Teacher of the Year will be invited to attend a Cardinals game as a special guest and to throw the first pitch.

The Teacher of the Year will be invited to attend a Kansas City Chiefs game as a special guest.
A special thanks goes out to Missouri's three teacher organizations for providing the wonderful reception prior to the Teacher of the Year Awards Banquet.
