STEM Awareness Grant Opportunity
The Central States Section of the Combustion Institute (CSS/CI) has up to a $5000 grant opportunity to high school teachers for developing and introducing a combustion science-based (i.e., applied chemistry) learning module into their course curriculum. The CSS/CI's primary objective in offering this grant opportunity is to increase awareness and interest in STEM disciplines. Proposals are due October 1.
Register Now for the 2013 Administrators Conference
Sign up now to attend the 52nd Annual Cooperative Conference for School Administrators to be held July 28-30 at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia. This year's keynote speaker is educator, author and political scientist, Frederick M. Hess. Additionally, Ronald Ferguson, creator of the Tripod Project for School Improvement; and Deb Delisle, assistant secretary for elementary and secondary education at the U.S. Department of Education, will be featured speakers.
Deadline to register is Friday, July 19.
Child Care Administrative Data Analysis Grants
The Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE) invites applications for grants to support rigorous, policy-relevant research that primarily involve the analysis of child care administrative data. Applications are due June 24, 2013.
Early Care and Education Research Scholars: Child Care Research Scholars
The Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE) invites applications for grants to support dissertation research on child care policy issues. These grants are meant to focus on questions that have direct implications for child care policy decision making and program administration and to foster mentoring relationships between faculty members and high-quality doctoral students. Applicants who applied under the May 21, 2013, due date must reapply. Applications are due July 1, 2013.
Child Care Research Partnership Grants
The Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE) invites applications for grants to support new research and evaluation activities developed through partnerships between State, Territory, and/or Tribal Child Care and Development Fund lead agencies and researchers from institutions of higher education or research organizations. Applications are due July 15, 2013.
