The Department Welcomes New Communications Coordinator
The Communications Office would like to welcome and introduce our new Communications Coordinator Sarah Potter, who will be key in supporting the internal and public information needs of the Department.
Sarah has a Bachelor of Journalism degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has a wide range of marketing, communications and public relations experience, as well as background in the news media industry.

Subscribe to Our Top 10 by 20 UPDATE
The statewide Top 10 by 20 Missouri Proud initiative is well underway, and the Department has launched a new monthly electronic newsletter, called the Top 10 by 20 UPDATE, to keep Missourians informed about Missouri public education and the state's progress toward becoming a top 10 state nationwide by 2020. A message from Commissioner Chris Nicastro will be a regular feature of the Top 10 by 20 UPDATE. Subscribe to the newsletter.
Join Us on Social Media
The department is now on social networking websites Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The new communications channels will allow the Department to tap into now essential and commonly used methods for sharing information and engaging with the public.
Individuals can now "like" the Department on Facebook, follow the department on Twitter @MOEducation and the Commissioner of Education @MOCommissioner, and view videos on YouTube.

The Department Permission Form is requested from individuals who give consent to the Department to use material (video, photos, voice, etc.) in which the individual is included in for whatever purpose(s) the Department may see fit. For questions regarding this form, please contact Communications.
