News and Updates
The Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference was held April 18-20 in Anaheim, California. We had 70 competitors in 20 different events. 23 of our competitors were finalists going on to the final round of competition. 27 competitors finished in the top 10 of their event. Five individuals earned the first place trophy. Two placed second and three finished third. Congratulations to all of you!
Cara Gooch from Missouri Southern State University is the newly elected Collegiate DECA National President. Cara was one of nine officer candidates. Congratulations, Cara!
What is Collegiate DECA?
Collegiate DECA is a student driven organization that values competence, innovation, integrity, and teamwork. We prepare students for careers by integrating skills learned in the classroom into real world experiences. Collegiate DECA programs assist in developing academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible, experienced leaders. Our students major in a variety of academic programs with a strong focus on business-related fields. Collegiate DECA conferences and other activities give students unique access to internships, scholarships, competition, and professional networking.
